As the Lead of the Electronic Subsystem for my Capstone Project, I designed and implemented the electronics and control system for a handheld, humane insect capture device. I programmed an Arduino Pro Mini to regulate the fan’s duty cycle for variable speed control and integrated key components, including an on-off button and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for portability. I collaborated with my team to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems, optimizing both functionality and user experience. My role required a combination of embedded programming, circuit design, and mechanical integration, contributing to a versatile and effective solution for insect management.
